Ever since I was a child my favorite thing to do on a hot day was go to the beach then get ice cream on the way home. Stomach issues were common but it wasn’t until my third decade of life that I started to recognize it had to do with my overall crappy American diet!

I have now been following a paleo diet for years and feel much better than I did during my younger years. Though after a long day of playing in the sun I still can’t help but wish I could have a frozen treat. Boy oh boy have I tried to “remake” ice cream in my blender but it has never been the same…or even close.

UNTIL NOW!!!! I received the best little contraption for my birthday and it is absolutely amazing! I can’t stop making frozen deliciousness for the family (or after they go to sleep haha). I know I sound way too dramatic but it’s really that good! It makes my soul so happy that I can now give my children the same memories without the unhealthy junk.

Yonanas is pretty damn awesome. It takes frozen fruit and whips it into ice cream. If I didn’t make it myself I would never believe the only ingredients were fruit…how do they get it so creamy?!

How It Works:

  1. First you freeze cheetah spotted bananas and/or other fruit you will be using (I recommend a bunch because this stuff is crazy good). Make sure they are in freezer for at least 24 hours
  2. Let fruit thaw on countertop for approximately 7-10 minutes
  3. Insert ingredients into yonanas, blend and enjoy!

Ideas:

The device comes with a free recipe book loaded with great looking ideas but my personal favorites are:

  • Insert one banana, a handful of blueberries, then another banana
  • 2 bananas with cinnamon sprinkled on top
  • Frozen cantaloupe
  • Banana and strawberry combination

I can’t recommend this product enough! If your family loves healthy frozen treats too you can grab your Yonanas here (click link to purchase). This is really a huge hit especially during these hot summer days. What fruit combo are you most excited to try?
